Festive Films to watch with your Mini Geeks.

The Holiday Season a great time to spend watching feel good movies with the family. Here's a list of ten suggestions for you to watch with your Mini Geeks. Suggested age rating comes from The BBFC.

I asked folks via my Instagram what were their go to movies during this festive period and this is what was suggested!

1. The Hogfather. (2006) PG

Ok technically it's not a film but a mini TV series, but it is a fun festive story with a twist, only Sir Terry Pratchett could write. 

2. Elf (2003) PG

3. Jingle all the Way (1995) PG

Arnold Schwarzenegger plays against stereotype in this quest to find the most popular toy at Christmas. A quest a lot of parents will relate to...

4. The Polar Express (2003) U

Tom Hanks stars in the film playing more or less every character. A delightful whimsical story.

5. The Nightmare before Christmas (1993) PG

With catchy tunes and memorable characters you'll be singing the songs through to the new year.

6. Gremlins (1984) 12a

Definitely one for the older geeks, featuring cute creatures and absolute chaos. At Christmas! 

7. Klaus (2019) PG

One of the more recent festive movies available.

8. Home Alone (1990) PG

Home Alone

Slapstick comedy and a wholesome story, this has become a modern classic Christmas tale.

9. How The Grinch who Stole Christmas (2000) PG

A live action retelling of the famous Seuss story, starring Jim Carrey

10. The Muppet's Christmas Carol (1990) U

Muppet's Christmas Carol

This is a firm favourite, with catchy tunes, memorable lines and absolutely stellar cast.
